Pricing and plan contents change — GitHub restructured individual plans once already this year — so treat this as accurate on that date rather than permanent, and check the full comparison or the underlying dataset before committing budget.

  • 2026-04-22 — New self-serve sign-ups for Copilot Business for organisations on GitHub Free and GitHub Team plans are temporarily paused. Existing subscriptions are unaffected, and enterprise accounts can still purchase seats.
  • 2026-06-01 — Individual paid plans moved to the base-credits-plus-flex-allotment structure, and Copilot Max was introduced at $100 USD per month.
